North Norfolk Rly steam gala 2 - 4 September 2016

The Grand Steam Gala by the North Norfolk coast is nearly upon-us.

Interesting to note that LMS Class 2 No.46521 was down as being a visitor on the website yesterday (21st July), no longer.

At the start of July, LMS Stainer Class 5 No. 45337 was awaiting the manufacture of new superheater elements, it means nothing to me but I'm sure the guys and girls at weybourne can pull something out of the hat.

46521 has now been confirmed on the NNR website

 

45337 was steam tested last Friday (22nd July) on shed, then taken out on test Sunday. A few minor jobs needed to be attended too before its launched into traffic - which should be today, all things being well!

 

After doing a platform turn at Holt today, 45337 sounded pitch perfect, I hope you don't mind @joe_issitt if i retweeted your picture of 45337 at Sheringham on to the M&GN Society twitter account.
