Leander just after leaving the Frodsham pick-up on the outward leg:

Apologies for losing my balance during the pan and the blustery wind noise.

It seems to be a given now that the sole RTC NWCE of the year is in the hands of Leander
Can't quite remember where I took these two, it was a long day !

A few shots taken yesterday at Holyhead, before boarding the train back to Chester. It was a good day out! img_3954.jpg img_3961.jpg

Don't know bout the first one, but the second one is Bodorgan. The old warehouse is the other side the wall behind the station name which has most probably been there since the station was built.
There used to be a water tower at the end of the down platform.

If anyone misses the obvious they are Runcorn, coasting into the station above an old co-op building, and yes Bodorgan station with the old warehouse/goods shed still in situ. Worth a look on the old map to see the extent of goods handling there. A real shame the buildings along this line are not in better external condition.

Grew up at Bodorgan Station 1952 to 1961. Dad was Station Master. Lovely growing up with steam passing through 24hrs a day.
