NYMR Railways at War Weekend - 14th to 16th October 2011

    Short notice, I know, but this major event runs from tomorrow.

    Whitby is taking part in the event for the first time this year, and there will be a Grosmont to Whitby service each day of the event.

    There will also be up to 7 locos in steam, including visitor 7822 and hopefully 44767 and 49395 making what will be their last appearances in traffic before leaving the line for 2011.

    On the Sunday, there will be two additional services between Grosmont and Whitby, as well as one Whitby to Battersby return, all using The Moorlander set with limited non-doning seating (over 150 seats). This is the last Battersby steam run of 2011.

    The trains will leave run:

    Grosmont: 11:40 (connect off 10:30 ex Pickering) arrive Whitby: 12:00

    Whitby: 12:30, call Grosmont: 12:50 (connect off 11:30 ex Pickering) arrive Battersby: 13:50

    Battersby: 14:15 call Grosmont 15:15 arrive Whitby 15:35

    Whitby: 16:05 arrive Grosmont: 16:25 (Connect to 16:45 to Pickering)
