Old Railway Magazines

Hi all,
I am looking to obtain pre 1968 railway magazines e.g. Trains Illustrated. If you are in Devon, I may well be able to collect. I am not a dealer and am looking for these for a private research project I am doing. Donations would be ideal but if you need payment for these that is fine but I wouldn't be able to offer a great deal. The end result should benefit other members and the wider preservation audience.

It would appear that the older magazines are harder to come by so if anyone has any rail magazines up to date - as long as it has some steam content - would be of great interest. Thanks

 

Hi just noticed this thread. I have just been given a (very) large number of old railway mags from the garden shed of a deceased collector where they had been dumped by his widow for many years. I am still collating but so far I have around 1500 Railway Magazines going back to 1957. There are the same number of Railway Worlds , and a large number of Modern Railways and Trains Illustrated going back to about 1960. If you or anyone else is interested in some or even all of them please email me on andiamo10@gmail.com and I'll send you the spreadsheet of all the issues once I finish collating. There is also a huge archive of railway documents to catalogue so this is going to be a labour of love!
