My first post to this forum and I hope I am not posting in the wrong place, or introducing a subject which does not belong.

I am Secretary of the Lords Hill and Lords Wood, Southampton, Historical Society, more info on which may be obtained by typing Lordshill Historical Society into the Google search engine.

On Monday 11 July one of our members will be giving a talk on the Old Railways of Hampshire - the speaker is himself a real live local Hampshire man, and very keen on his subject, but I would like to try to make something more of this as we aim to take his presentation around the Sheltered Housing in Southampton, as part of our co-operation with the Southampton City Council in helping relieve the social isolation of the elderly.

If there are any members of the forum who would be willing and able to assist us in the presentation of a display/talk (whatever) of the old railways of Hampshire it would be great to hear from you.

Our speaker knows his stuff, but I would be grateful for any ideas of how we can make our presentation really great, perhaps by the display of railway aftifacts if you could bring them along.
    Many thanks
    Regards,
    John
