A new event on the calendar, but as it was very local, we went along with the children for a very relaxing afternoon, and an impressive display for a first show. Old Sarum aerodrome is in itself a beautiful rural setting.

Highlight of the afternoon was supposed to be the Avro Vulcan, but it had to abort: nonetheless there was plenty to enjoy. Highlight for me was probably the Mustang and B17 at the end of the day, and the Spitfires at the beginning, though it was nice to see the Swordfish as well, an aeroplane I'd never seen. Most engaging for the children were the Turbulent team with their barnstorming antics: my daughter was also impressed with the Girl Power Pitts special.
