Oxted Thumper 1317 Running This Friday

    Having done a lot of work on the unit (Turbo overhauled, pipe runs readjusted, brake blocks changed and a lot of cleaning and painting) Spa Valley Railway is running the unit to Eridge this Friday. This will be the first time the unit has run without the silencer baffles ( the cause of the turbo failure)Four return trips - details on Spa Valley Web Site. Come along for a ride and say hello. I plan to have the the Engine room open for people to have a look around during the layovers at Eridge. The next project is to finish the centre car.
