    This coming weekend, 1st / 2nd September we are operating GWR Pannier Tank loco No. 9466 hauling our IRIS II Railcar set between Barry Island Station and the Waterfront Platform which is adjacent to the Tall Ships Festival being held at Barry Docks. Great fun to be had for everyone - why not bring the family? See the Tall Sailing Ships in the historic No.2 Dock and take the steam train hauling IRIS II DMU across the Causeway to Barry Island for the fun fair and the lovely sandy beach....and of course our newly fitted out cafe!
    Trains leave Barry Island each day at 11.45, 13.30, 14.30, 15.30, 16.30 and return from the Waterfront at 12.15, 14.00, 15.00 and 16.00.
    Loco 9466 is now back in action after recent repairs - a very powerful loco, always a good performer - especially up our 1 in 60 grade!
