5029 Nunney Castle will be making its way to Tenby and Pembroke Dock from Bristol on Saturday. It will be (as far as I know) the first Castle to go to Pembroke Dock since the 1960s.

If anyone was on last year's Southern Irishman tour with 5029 you'll know this isn't one to miss!

Anyone on this or out to see us?

    Ben

Will be good to hear the Castle coming up out of Pembroke if 70013 the other year is anything to go by!

The road closures near Temple Meads are start from 04.30.

Have only seen times which show that this train is running on Sunday.

I think you are confused. The train to Pembroke Dock is SUNDAY 11th Sept. See UKSteam.info. Remember that it is in place of the trip to Weymouth which was cancelled because of engineering work.

Let's not put the words train and failure too closely together. <BJ>

5029 has been one of the most reliable engines this year, with not one delay attributable to the loco. Long may it continue! :)

Oh dear. That could be the "KISS OF DEATH".

I told somebody last year that I had a clean driving license and had not been caught for speeding for 18 years. 2 days later I was caught speeding, fined and 3 points. How many times have we tempted fate?

That said, I have to admit the 5029 has been a revelation with outstanding performances this year.

I forgot to mention that 47.500 was a section behind the train leaving Bristol, for the turning move in West Wales. <BJ>
