Following the paths on RTT, the ensemble leaves Crewe H.S. and pauses at Gresty Lane where it appears a light loco then heads onto Blackburn once the stock has moved into the station. The light loco sits at Blackburn while the tour does its run and then the light loco returns to Gresty where it tags back onto the stock when it too returns to Gresty. Surely Saphos aren’t going without a diesel??

    That's an interesting thought.

I'm in coach G, which would be next to the diesel if Sunday's trip is anything to go by. Whilst I'm not really expecting to hear much from Britannia from that far back in a sealed carriage, it would be nice not to hear a diesel :)

Thinking more about this, what about heating the mark threes? Do Saphos have a genny coach which could do this, or have they now got enough mark ones so they can do away with the mark threes and just use steam heating (OK, I can but dream...)?

Anyone looked at the times yet?

Seems to be a lot of hanging around in Burnley with approx. 2 x 30 minute stops one at Rose Grove & then a mile down the line another one at Manchester Rd Station.

I would guess the station stop is for water?
