petition for the save the wexford to rosslare rail line

whilst not strictly an event this is a happening as such, please support the campaign, i know its over the water, but having travelled and photographed the line and its people for the last ten years ,if we put half as much effort into trying to save this line as we did the s&c then wed be doing a very proud thing for the people of the south east of ireland who have a jem of a rail network that is so underused its absolutely unbelievable in todays climate.

i think you should add the existance of a very impressive operational swing bridge and the fact that the rail journey is about half the road mileage.

However I doubt you'll change anything. The resources used here are needed to operate the new white elephant Western rail Corridor and IE have been trying to shut this line for decades,,,,

i only put the link on here to pass this onto the broader community, indeed i may not alone change anything, but twenty plus years ago people like us started a campaign to prevent the closure of the s&C ,we didnt think thatd get anywhere but when enough people get behind something things can happen, twenty years ago we didnt have the internet in the same way we do today and media was slow at getting messages across the country as a whole to canvas support for petitions, the internet has made this much much more important, so who knows, with enough will nothing is impossible, thats my code in life, many thanks for all the support and the info.
