Here are 25 photos of six British-built locos at Gavle. Disappointingly, the museum's two operational Beyer Peacocks were inaccessible: 2-4-0 Prins August (1856) and 2-2-2 No 75 (1866).

The museum closes this autumn for two years for renovation.

I went there a couple of years ago when the Swiss Krokodil visited. I believe the income from that event has made a large contribution towards the refurbishment. Again, quite a few steam locos were locked away at that event too, but as it was an electric traction event rather than steam focused, it was understandable.
