    70 photos of this excellent three day, 400 mile tour from Dublin to Westport and Ballina, County Mayo, organised by the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland. It was hauled by Derby-built 2-6-4T No 4.

    I would say 150, fewer than on the preceding Comeragh diesel tour. But that was a one day event. The Carrowbeg entailed two overnight stays in Westport, and possibly others in Dublin before and after, all just as the pound dropped against the euro...

    Even so it was very enjoyable and I certainly recomment RPSI events.
