There are only three narrow gauge (76cm) lines in the Czech Republic. One runs from Osoblaha, near the Polish border, and is operated by Czech Rlys (CD).

The other two both start at Jindrichuv Hradec, in southern Bohemia. One line runs north to Obratan; the other south to Nova Bystrice, near the Austrian border. Both have been privatised and are operated by the Jindrichuv Hradec Local Railway (JHMD). They are not heritage railways but are rural branch lines still offering a public service. Steam nostalgia trains run in the summer, mainly to Nova Bystrice.

Here are photos taken during two Railway Touring Co charters at the end of January. Both were hauled by former Polish 0-8-0 Px 48 1916.
