    There is just one railway museum in Portugal, and it's at the railway town of Entroncamento (bit like Crewe, middling town with large station, yards, and works). The collection and premises is gradually expanding; the photos are from a visit in November last year.

    Enthusiasts for British exports will note the Beyer Peacock steam loco, North British electric loco, and English Electric diesel. The service life of some of the kit suggests that the operators got full value for money from it!

    They don't (yet) get many visitors. Admission is inexpensive (EUR 2 last year). Pics here:

    I would also have had a collection from the museum in Madrid (at Delicias) but it's been closed for roof repairs (plenty of Brit stuff there including a Yorkshire Engine Co 0-8-0 DH shunter).
