Plans to transform the face of James Street in Liverpool, including a new bus and rail interchange, go on public display from Monday.
The £1.5m scheme, to be delivered by Merseytravel, Liverpool City Council, Merseyrail and Network Rail, is on show at Merseytravel's Hatton Garden HQ.

James Street and its rail station are due for a major facelift over the next two years.

The exhibition, from 0900 to 1600 GMT Monday to Friday, runs until 3 March.

Experts from Merseytravel and the design team will be on hand to answer questions on Monday and Tuesday this week.

Councillor Mark Dowd, chairman of Merseytravel, said: "James Street is already an important interchange and, as the city grows towards 2008 and beyond, it will become even more so."

The improvement plans include a new prominent canopy over the station entrance, improved pedestrian access and waiting areas for bus passengers as well as new bus shelters and better information displays.
