According too Narrow Gauge News 277 (NGRS Nov 2006) its at the Derbyshire Dales Narrow Gauge Railway.

'0-4-0ST Phoenix has been imported from Austrailia, arriving at Southampton on 17/8/06. Initially it went to Leander Architectural Dove Holes, but is expected to move to DDNGR at a later date.'

It's still at Leander Architectural (or was when I was there in the middle of February), along with the Moseley Railway Trust's Joffre.

According to several people I've spoken to, the Aussie 'Porter' isn't the most powerful of locos (putting it politely!). The phrase 'couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding' springs to mind!

I thought it would be useful seeing as information directly related to this locomotive was not readily available in the other thread.

    Chill out for goodness sake...

The last photo, which I have seen of it at Leander Architectural, showed it as still dismantled but that was undated. I don't know if there has been any recent progress. Perhaps Ted could tell us what its future is? I guess it lies with how busy Leander are in their mainsteam business; the products of which, in my humble opinion, appear to be first class!
