With apologies for the gratuitous plug, but the London Midland Society (4123) has four tyres for sale on e-bay.

    See:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-OFF-Railway-...item1e5f89dd49

    For the details.

    It's possible they're off a class 40 or similar - we're not really sure.

    Folks,

At the time of writing (~8pm Saturday evening) they are still for sale.

I must emphasise that we do not know what they were intended for. There was talk many years ago when they were acquired that they were for a class 40, however we don't know for certain. Hence the caveat of the buyer must determine the suitability for his intended application.

The perceived reasonable B.I.N price is that we would rather see them go to somebody who could use them rather than in the scrap bin!

Just to close this out, the tyres are now sold.

Thanks to anybody who showed an interest or made a bid.
