Pres Release - Talyllyn Railway Welcomes Team Cheshire

Discussion in 'On Track.' started by Karen Willans, May 19, 2016.

On Wednesday 18 May 2016 the Talyllyn Railway played host to a group of fourteen cyclists from Team Cheshire.

They are undertaking a 200 mile sponsored ride between Holyhead and Tenby to raise £3000 for the charity Autism Wishes.

One of the cyclists is Kate Tyndall, the daughter of volunteer Talyllyn locomotive Driver, Bill Tyndall, and so the railway was delighted to host the group to Tywyn Wharf station over the lunchtime. A special ‘Welcome’ arch was even erected for the occasion.

Autism Wishes seeks to educate and raise awareness of Autism. They also grant wishes to children and adults with Autism and support local Projects that promote the betterness and the wellbeing of those with Autism.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to Team Cheshire may do so via their Just Giving page - https://www.justgiving.com/Team-Cheshire2016
