Below is a list of GWR preserved locomotives with exhaust steam injectors or that have lost them since they were first preserved (in blue). Most preserved GWR locomotives from Barry lost their exhaust steam injectors when non-ferrous fittings were removed as scrap(!).

    2818

2999 – New, cast from new patterns.

    3440

    4003

    4073

    4079 – New?

5043 - Has ESI which was on 4079.

5051 - left Barry with ESI (by rail), in the days before non-ferrous metal items were removed.

5322 - Same as 5051 but lost at Caerphilly due to theft.

    6000

    6023 - New?

    6024 - ?

6998 - Bought out of service from BR but may have since been borrowed by 3822.

7029 - Bought out of service from BR.

    7808 - Same as 7029.

9017 - ESI sectioned by Bluebell. Was in their museum. Vandalism!

These are (or were) rare items, particularly those in current use. Any corrections or additions?
