    Sorry to answer your question with questions but:
    Do you mean BR Standard Class locomotives or Standard Gauge locomotives?
    Do you mean all standard gauge steam locomotives or do you mean all BR standard gauge locomotives including those of the companies that were nationalised in 1948?
    Do you mean standard gauge locomotives that were built only for use in Britain or do you mean the total to include those imported for preservation from overseas?
    Do you mean standard gauge locomotives in working order or all examples, including those in dismantled or scrapyard condition?
    Once you have decided then try Google.
