The introduction of the production Class Deltics was 50 years ago in 1961. The Deltic50 celebrations of 2005 celebrated 50 years on Deltics based on the introduction to traffic of the prototype Deltic but I presume that the introduction of the production series is equally worthy of celebrations.

Does the NRM have any plans among its Modern Traction activities for 2011 to celebrate this auspicious event ?

  2. How about likelihood of 55002 returning to working order after everything it's been through, Fred? Is that not enough?
