This coal fired paddle steamer is back on home waters and doing Dartmouth - Totnes runs during the week. An absolute must if you are in South Devon. Glorious scenery and useful running commentary.

Beware if you are using the internet booking system though. I wanted to do a single trip from Totnes, then return by bus, but the internet would only do returns. So, I booked a return, thinking that it was a trip worth doing both ways if that was the only way to do it. I paid the return fare on line, then on arriving at Totnes for the 12.30 trip to Dartmouth I learned that there was no return sailing from Dartmouth! It seems a bit odd that the system took my money for a return from Totnes, when there was no return sailing.

I hope that they can improve their booking website to avoid that situation. Otherwise I can only suggest booking by phone.
