    The promise of millions of pounds to expand Oxford railway station has been welcomed by rail passenger's group as "long overdue".

    As reported in the Oxford Mail on Friday, Transport Secretary Douglas Alexander has approved an £88m package of measures aimed at tackling congestion in Oxford.
