Railtrail - Swiss Mountain Steam

    I went on a Railtrail trip earlier in the month. Included 3 days of Steam, 1 day cable cars and service trains, and 2 free days.

    Summary of days below ( 2 and 6 were the free days)

    1.Ride on the Brienz Rothorn Railway (including Shed visit) plus Peddler Steamer trip across Lake Brienz.
    2.Views from Jungfraujoch, Kleine Scheidegg Station/View of the Eiger, Wengen Station, Ride on the line to Schynigge Platte including views from the train.
    3.Ride on the Furka Cog Railway (one way from Realp – Oberwald)
    4.Steam hauled trip from Interlaken – Brunig Pass (2 different locos), Heritage Diesel from Brunig Pass to Giswil (due to station improvements at Giswil)and return.
    5.Views from the Schiltorn, and Wilderswil Station
    6.Trip to Montreux on the MOB, Photo’ taken at Zweisimmen and Montreux stations.

    Good weather on days 2 - 6 inc.
