THE North Yorkshire Moors Railway has been given a £300,000 injection to its £1m Bridge and Wheels Appeal to restore a vital bridge between Grosmont and Goathland.
The money was approved by North Yorkshire County Council's executive on Tuesday, which has agreed to spend £18m on 18 priority transport proposals across the county, including the bridge, over the next three years.
