46100 to steam (and in Green)
    46233's still Green
    Leander's back (back in black)
    61306 is mainline bound
    As is 76084
    34027 to steam
    Llangollen now goes to Corwen
4464's with us for another year
    35018?!
7802 back in traffic with right size tender!
    34051 finally receiving some recognition!
    SVR 50
    GWR making progress
This is all off the top of my head as I say positive additions welcome!

6100 and 6233 being anything other than Crimson Lake is no cause for cheer. Whatever the former ran in when rebuilt, CL is what was intended for these locos and what they would have carried if it hadn't been for the disastrous mistake of nationalisation... Good to hear 35018 is on the way back, though hopefully won't suffer from the same run of poor form which has bedevilled a certain other Carnforth-based Bulleid! I for one also hope 18 will appear as 21c18, having had the infamous regressive rebuild reversed!

I'm sorry? The LMS had switched back to lined black before nationalisation - the Midland influence was well on the wane by then and the LNWR were getting back on top!

Sorry but the colour is almost irrelevant in my view and whilst we could debate for ever what the colour should be, the fact that both should be around is the bonus.

2015, lets wait and see, i do hope that we will see some new engines out there, 35018,should return to steam for the first time since withdrawal from BR, as should 46100,and both on the main line,
Down here in the south, most of our local lines should see locos re enter service after overhaul, 541,and 73082 are expected to return, 41312 and 76017,with hopefully 506 not far behind, and 34081 may be in with a chance of a return, but things are looking up if you look towards 2017, 50 years after steam ended on BR, look at might be availible
2 merchants, possibly 2 west counties, 1 battle of britain, a standard 5, and thats just the southern ones, that should be on the mainline, when you add the non main line engines,
you can add a further 1 maybe 2 merchant, 3 west countries another 3 battle of britains, thats got to be one heck of a gathering, if that lot can be got together somewhere

I probably ought to wait until news is published, but the loco situation on the GWSR is definitely a reason to be cheerful for me next year! I suppose I can say that 35006 is going to be finished early to mid 2015 though...

    Crewe works reborn.
ELR to start the process of becoming self sufficient in engineering terms.
4472 to become notorious for only positive performance related reasons.

Oh God, what have I started! FWIW, I think electrification was and remains a mistake too. Anyway, for me, Stanier locos should always be LMS Crimson Lake - yes, even the 5MTs and 8Fs! There should also be a law against BR liveries except on anything carrying a five-figure number beginning with 7, 8 or 9!

Will still be good to see 6100 back. Perhaps on the VSOEs in lieu of Britain's best locomotive when it is withdrawn for overhaul next summer...

Labour are pro HS2 (alas) and anti nationalisation.
