I'm a new boy to this forum and probably cutting into a thread already started.....please bear with me.
Have any members any information about Network Rail's unilateral decision to cancel the 90mph streaks?
I arrived at York to be told the Tyne-Tees streak had been cancelled the evening before because of a fire risk. Rain, spark arrestors, etc. appear to have no effect on NR's decision making. I and the party I was with are seriously out of pocket having travelled some distance to York, hotel bills, train fares, and no representative to greet us and tell us the bad news from Pathfinder tours.
Is this a concerted attempt to stop these tours altogether?
