I am a bit late in posting this, but can't see it anywhere else on here. Sadly the Rev. Richard Paten, the man who saved BR Standard Class 5 73050 from scrap by buying it directly from BR in 1968, and a founder member and patron of the Nene Valley Railway, passed away last Sunday morning.

Interviewed late last year by the ”Peterborough Telegraph” newspaper, the resulting article can be found here: Rev Richard Paten: a remarkable man who has done so much for Peterborough - Features - Peterborough Telegraph. RIP.
