Ribble STeam Railway - Diesel Gala 3-4 October 2009

    The Ribble Steam Railway will be holding its annual Diesel Gala on October 3-4, giving visitors the opportunity to see and ride behind its rarely-seen shunter fleet.

    A standard timetable is in operation, and the locomotives programmed to appear (subject to availability) are: Hunslet Class 05 D2595, Drewry 03 class D2148 and 'Stanlow', TH123v 0-4-0.

    The anticipated timetable is as follows:

    11:00 - D2148
    12:00 - D2595
    13:00 - 'Stanlow'
    14:00 - D2595
    15:00 - D2595
    16:00 - D2148

    Visitors will also get the chance to have a look in the workshop and inspect progress on the line's other Class 03 shunter and the Class 14, both of which are now nearing completion.
