RRNE Shildon open day 8th October 2011, Same weekend as the Deltic event at shildon!

    Hi All,

    Just thought I would get a thread going. Durham Locomotive Preservation Group, the G5 Project and Rail Restorations North East are hosting a joint open day and mini exhibition on the 8th October. Yes the same weekend as the Deltic event at Shildon NRM. We are just around the corner so a bit more to see on your trip to Shildon.

    There will be layouts, trade support and RCTS, The G5 project and a number of completed conponents including a much more advanced boiler in terms of progress, RSH No77 'Norwood', the class 25 cab rebuild from the Wensleydale Railway (possibly if not finished), along with a number of current restoration projects, which I will update on here closer to the event.

    Entry is completely free though donations towards RSH No77's restoration would be greatly appreciated.
