Warning - the Nottingham Post has the world's worst website and depending on your software you will need to hunt for the story amongst the adverts.

Ruddington has been hit before in this way.

A distressing affair for those concerned with those carriages.

Incidentally, are Mk.2's and 3's rare, as the report suggests? Or is their something especial about the two cars involved?

I was sorry to hear this. It's infuriating that the little buggers get the oxygen of publicity, but they need catching.

Not many Mk3s left in original condition as built by BR. Most if not all HST and Anglia standard class Mk3s have had lots a squeeze em in unidirectional seating rammed in. Like a lot of just obsolete equipment they were once very common then you suddenly turn around and find them all gone so all praise to those trying a couple for the future. Are not the ones on the GCRN going to run with the prototype HST power car ?

Not sure these were in ex BR condition when I rode with 41001 a couple of months ago.
