does anybody seriously think Network Rail would be interested in taking over the line who would use it not many commuters live in Minehead and other stations on the line do not have large populations having travelled on the local bus service which has been reduced recently apart from a few enthusiasts it is mostly OAPs using their free passes.

I recommend 2 rails are removed just in case anyone takes them

I too received this today. I found it somewhat nauseating and full of platitudes. The list of personal email addresses for the Chairman etc at the foot made me think, just for a second mind you, that I would email him and ask for a brief explanation why the plc is attempting to evict S&DRT which has a cost, at a time when costs need to be saved. But then I thought, even if I got an answer which I doubt I would, it would be full of more bull***t

It isn't up to Network Rail, it is the Department for Transport that makes strategic decisions like this and would then direct and fund Network Rail and a TOC as appropriate.

They may wish to take them to a different siding to teach them a lesson even though it’s not professional

What siding might that be then, given that allegedly one of the reasons for evicting them is that the WSR needs more space?

I think they would be on about one of the places to store them could be the triangle line at the end of the line

I only heard it from you!!! This is why it's a bad idea to start spuriously speculating ridiculous ideas, they take on a life of their own.

This was the first mention of it, last week, by you:

There followed a brief and rather pointless discussion of whether it would technically be theft or not, before everyone got bored and carried on before. The discussion then had new life breathed into it again by you, this morning, here:

This entire idea of the WSR moving S&D wagons purely out of spite has only been raised by you, is ridiculous, and unhelpful.

Counsel now rests (for lunch of cheese on toast)... :)

I note that when asked to provide evidence of this, you remain silent. I can only conclude that there is no evidence to support this claim. It looks to be as worth as much as your claim to be leaving National Preservation.

It would probably come back with a demand that you never set foot on the WSR ever again because you are clearly hostile to the WSR.

Please remember to use hand sanitiser in a well ventilated space and do not drink it.

We wouldn't recommend "holding your breath". We wrote individually to ALL members of the Board several weeks ago. We eagerly await the post lady every day but so far............Yes you've guessed total silence from Minehead. If others have done the same, can you be surprised at negative comments on these threads. Keith and Joyce

As an complete outsider. In the current situation whatever/whoever is responsible for the present situation on the WSR, you need to grow a pair and re focus on the pressing reality of today.

For goodness sake, grow up and stop digging. Concentrate on the best way to mitigate against the current daily growing loss of revenue. Failure to do so could well leave the Heritage movement one line less.

Is that really what everyone wants ?

The party that keeps digging here is the PLC. No responses to reasonable questions. Only specifically authorised individuals to venture anywhere on WSR property, so open house for vandals.
