    However, I see it then goes to Southall for stabling immediately after. So, is this a private charter as suggested by the one way nature? If so, the timings are probably based on a request for dining on train etc, so the complicated routing and length of journey are based on accommodating the needs of the hire?

    It’s 5 hours 57 minutes to drive according to Google maps, clearly quicker, but if you want to visit Bath and you live in Saltburn I’d prefer the train.
