Santa Express and Mince Pie Specials this winter at Strathspey Railway in Aviemore

Here at Strathspey Railway, our engines - Caley 828 and Class 2 Ivatt - are running a few special events during the festive period.

So why not pay a visit to Aviemore and enjoy a trip through the winter wonderland of the Scottish Highlands.

During the lead up to Christmas, we will be running our annual Santa Express journeys on 9th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd and 24th December. The engines will depart Aviemore station at 11am and 2pm on these dates, with adults enjoying mince pies and drinks and Santa providing presents for children on board.

Following the Christmas period, we have our mince pie specials which will run on 27th and 31st January, and also on 1st and 2nd January 2013.

Again, this is a great chance to enjoy the spectacular scenery that the Scottish Highlands offer during the winter period.
