Create your warm magical memory with a SANTA STEAM SPECIAL experience. A perfect family get together, sprinkled with some festive fun.
Let Ribble Steam Railways Santa Specials bring extra pleasure and entertainment to your seasonal celebrations.
Join us, relax and have some fun with our friendly helpers.
Chug-along on Santa's steam train.
Enjoy light seasonal refreshments, snuggled up warm in your steam-heated carriage. Watch their eyes light up, young and old, as Father Christmas visits you in your seat to hand you your personal Christmas present.
Tickets include access to our festively trimmed museum. Enjoy a look around our Engines on display in the museum.
Little ones and grown ups, can climb aboard our indoor miniature railway to enjoy a full "hoots and whistles” run along its own little line within the museum.
Visit the Whistle Stop café and treat yourselves to warming hot chocolate and some extra mouthwatering mince pies.
Need some last minute Christmas shopping? Take a peak into our gift shop, packed with delightfully different Christmas gifts and ideas for all the family. Look out for our popular purchases like the Thomas the Tank Engine range, designed to bring a smile to all their faces.
If you need to know anything during your visit just ask a member of staff who will be only too pleased to help you have a great day.

Pre-booking your train is essential; the more popular dates tend to be the ones closest to Christmas. Please book early to plan your journey, and secure your seat on Santa’s Special Steam Train.

BOOK YOUR SANTA TICKETS - ONLINE BOOKINGS



Note: When you follow the online booking link above, a new page has been added to our Santa booking system to help you understand the Santa Seating arrangements and to aid you when booking and choosing your seats together.

Please arrive around 20 - 30 minutes before the departure time of your booked train.
If you miss your train time it will be near on impossible to move you onto another train as they are all individually booked.
The museum and train ride are all under cover except for the platform.

There are no toilets on the actual train ride of which you are on for around 40 minutes. (Toilets are situated next to shop in the museum building)
Prams can be left inside the museum near the platform, there is no room for prams on the train.
