I was sure there was a thread for this already, but blowed if I can find it. Interesting route, if it comes off: York-Scarborough-Bridlington-Selby-York. Railtourer's web site still has the same description as when the tour was first advertised - they are waiting to see whether NR will approve their request to run steam from Scarborough to Bridlington. Does anyone have any further news?

Timings are on UKsteam for this one. Should be a good trip.

Steam off at Goole Up Goods Loop on return and train continues south (not via Selby/York) to Sleaford. Steam on at York in morning.

Yes, the Railtourers website says that Skegness passengers will be bussed from Boston, and Grantham passengers from Sleaford.

Good news that the trip is going ahead, and via Bridlington, etc.

@Stuart,well,I didn't exactly know what I was doing myself, just using sense of direction and praying the road signs led me to where I wanted to be!!

Mission impossible yesterday - but possibly the best day's motoring of 2011 - autumn colours and wind in yer hair at 75F! Went for the train shed shot at Filey - town locked up solid, so couldn't get into the station - tried to get out to Brid road and found we were still ahead but didn't dare stop as we had seen it in sillhouette above Filey Golf Club whilst turning - nice shot at Brid - but if you got that you couldn't get ahead until after the water stop for Dorises.

Nice shot from a special location at Brough East - just up from the EE Lightning - what is that town going to do after yesterday's announcements by BAE? then off to Goole with Drax looking stunning (!) in the sunset from the M62 bridge, and a final shot over Goole AFC - ("time to train!") and then home - all top down, no heater, into the after glow - Eagles and Fleetwood Mac as the soundtrack - could have been Highway 101! and two day's VED left - crazy country!

Brush cars today? - can't waste this weather!

Mark, seeing the way it displays on YouTube, my guess is that when you are creating the video, you're putting 16:9 video into an overall 4:3 production, so the finished item has black bars at the top and bottom to fill out the frame.

When I create a new production in Roxio Creator, it asks me if I want it 4:3 or 16:9, though in some editors it may still default to 4:3.

So I'd look for the aspect ratio setting before you put any content in, and make sure it is set to 16:9 - also look to see if you can make that the default setting.

    Thanks Steve for the advice.

Funnily enough it is set to 16:9 on both my PC converter (AVS Video Converter 8) and on the Camcorder, does anyone know that code that can be used on YT,the one with 16:9 or something to put in the tags,I could try that.

    Cheers,
    Mark

Mark, when you play the file that you have prepared for uploading, on you PC, does it fill the screen correctly?

You could try one of these

    YT:crop=16:9
    YT:stretch=16:9
