    Scottish Model Engineering Trust (SMET) has a revamped website: www.smet.org.uk

    The 5" track at Wester Pickston has now been extended around the new extension and the carriage shed is now complete. Looking good for 2015!

    Clicking on that link, the top left photo seems to show a 'Stirling Double' ie a 4-4-0 version of a Stirling single....would you know anything about it?

    Hi Andrew - sorry for the delay in responding. Not too sure about that one. It is a visiting loco, I think from Strathaven. If I can find out more, I will post away.

    2015 Open Day dates at Wester Pickston are: 5th April, 7th June, 2nd August and 13th September

    There are several new locos being finished off for the 2015 season. Please come and have a look at what we have done

    The Scottish Model Engineering Trust (SMET) is delighted to welcome visitors to their first open day for 2016 at the Wester Pickston Railway, Glenalmond on Sunday 27th March. Visitors will be made more than welcome from 11:30am until 4pm.

    4 Sep 2016

    To get to the railway, visitors should turn onto College Road from the A85 opposite the Post Office in Methven. The railway is approximately 3 miles north on the right and sign posts showing the way are provided on the day.

    Locos running between 1130 and 4pm. Over winter the track has been expanded again and new locos are expected for the 2017 season. Hope to see you there.
