Twice this week I have managed to visit my "local" branch line. 5526 + 2 autos are running to the "red" t/t.
With lovely weather there are huge quantities of snowdrops+ some wild daffs/celendine. This afternoon the bucolic atmosphere was disturbed by a cub fox who seemed to be gricing!!!!

If you can get to the SDR this weekend + enjoy pull n push .........

It seems from the timetable that the Buckfastleigh branch is now out of hibernation every weekend with steam on Sundays and some Saturdays; even the diesel railcar that officiates some Saturdays is not without its own charm.

Tomorrow is a good weather forecast ... And the fox cub may come out to play again; does he/she like diesel railcars as much as steam?

    Carpe diem!

Still a couple of weekends to go before the start of daily running, and this weekend with neither the railcar or 5526 available due to maintenance, services on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend will feature 0-6-0pt 1369 hauling a very nice branch passenger, formed of just a couple of GWR coaches. It is not very often the chance comes along to run a pure GWR set due to the buffet car being a MK1 (at present) so enjoy the treat whilst you can.
