Timings now available for the Severn Coast Express on Saturday,30th May hauled by Tornado.
    http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t09/t0530c.htm

Also on the same day, Oliver Cromwell will be hauling a railtour from Poole to Bristol and return.
It's just like the buses. No steam tours into Bristol for ages and then two come along at the same time !!

Thanks to David Randles for the timings. <BJ>

Light engine was 10 mins late through Cheltenham.
Train departed Gloucester at 08:23 - 21 mins late
Train was then held in loop at Over (about a mile out of GL) for local to pass.
Finally got on it's way at 08:35

It'll be worth it trust me. Despite battling crowds at Eastleigh.

Huge crowds at Cardiff, and all of us had our photo op almost ruined by the arrival of a diesal railtour as Tornado was pulling back into Platform 1

My efforts from today (including one in Newport whilst turning) are up at:

She even had a short mention on the BBC News channel, with a plug for the Top Gear race.

Also seen at Purton across the Severn. Also Pilning and approaching Patchway tunnel. Making light work of the load.
Nice exchange of whistles with the Steam Roller that turned up at Pilning station! Caused some conjestion in the car park.

The return leg of the evening trip left Bishops Lydeard about 2 minutes ago. Tornado plus support coach have also departed Minehead ready to stable at BL overnight.

Wonderful thing the WSR.org webcams! :smt003

    Regards,

    Dan

Had a great evening trip yesterday, never made Pilning because all the holiday makers **** themselves and ran off home first thing, meaning we got stuck in traffic!

Thanks to all for a fantastic trip.

Nice to have 47840 on the return as far as BL,made her blow out a few cobwebs, pity it had to come off, didn't do bad with the weight of 13 coaches, the same can be said of Tornado,an immense performance up Crowcombe bank from the A1 (Idling 67).

Or because a woman was badly hurt in a collision on the M5 motorway. Major tailbacks ensued as the emergency services tried to cut her free.

On a brighter note. This is from the local BBC news.
