Amazingly, there is a front cover pic, that is not of Cromwell or Tornado!

Yes, but what does the main title say right across the top of the front cover?

p.s. on the Heritage Railway website under "This month":

    Argh!

I see the beach boys are creeping back in again!

Also has Wilcox been getting his articles submissions mixed up? Poetry, and now dogs, will I need to find 'thought provoking and controversial opinions' in People's Friend this week? \:D/

More amazingly the front cover shot and centre spread photos aren't by brian sharpe!! It is a cracking shot by Jon of the C & O charter that graces the centre spread though.

Yeah, that centre spread really is one of the best photos I've seen in a looooong time. Preservation at its finest I think (just a shame there's no people in it).

Correct me if I am wrong here, but has the photographer's name been omitted from the caption (on the following page) to this indisputable 'mastershot'??? Well I couldn't find it, anyway!

    Yes it has.
I have to admit as much as I love HR this latest issue is a bit of a shocker for mistakes I'm afraid. The first one I saw was the Swangage one. How did this get through? I also got the impression that the issue was a bit of a filler as it is padded out with photo's and adverts and articles on Dogs :smt017 Something different I suppose! Still there are some really good pictures. 3440 + 9017 on the SVR by Jon Bowers is superb as is the centre spread (whoever took that). I hope the next issue is checked a bit better than this one was.

    Thanks! Glad you like it.

PS. you have to look at the content list on page 5 to find out who took the centre spread :)

    Cheers,
    Jon

usual response to Heritage Railways, REPRODUCTION, its abysmal, and steam railway is not much better these days, and to person who sent me a pm last time telling me to submit pics myself, I have may pics published and Mr Hopkins gets the same treatment, why do the pics look like paintings gone wrong on most of them, at least center spread is bang on
