Siemens’ rail electrification division has achieved the BS11000 accreditation for collaborative working.

BS11000 has been developed to establish a clear standard for collaboration in an effort to improve the effectiveness of industry partnerships.

Between January and March this year, Siemens Rail Electrification said it had ‘made a concerted effort’ to develop a system that not only met the company’s goals but also BS11000 protocols.

Shaun Cooper, business director for Siemens Rail Electrification – part of the Smart Grid Division – said: “Siemens Rail Electrification is delighted to have achieved our accreditation for BS11000.

“Siemens Rail Electrification was already working in a manner that was closely aligned to the spirit of the standard through its existing company procedures.

“Embracing BS11000 methodologies further enhances Siemens’ way of working to create closer relationship management with major clients, partners and supply chain within the rail industry.”
