    Can anyone advise the date that 6008 'King James II' worked an enthusiasts special on the WCML in the late 50s or early 60s?

    Probably not the one, but it worked the Potteries Express on the 9th May 1959 - see The Railtour Files

    Thanks but it wasn't the one. I saw 6008 on the Rugby to Nuneaton portion of WCML, probably on a Saturday.
