Sir Nigel on the Fife Circle April 2011

What with loads of tape to sort through, the internet playing up and other events, at long last my you tube of Sir Nigel and its day around the Fife circle. Thanks to Fred K with help in finding some good spots.

I might not be as expert as some on this forum but hopfully I have captured some good highlights.

Well done Margaret - hope your other half (2/3 ?) managed to get as successful a day; your final part was luck as it was running 20 minutes early at that point and we were leaving the Inn to walk to the harbour for our location when it rumbled overhead. Glad to have been of help on the day.

Fred - the Bannockburn shot is even better about 150 yards west - battered down some knotweed and you can get Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, train and Bannockburn itself, all in one - and not a "Highlander" in sight!

Not jealous about complimenting your other half surely ?

Presume your revised location ( to the west ) was taken from the main road as I had noted the different angle on the video; I suspect the better shot could be from the road bridge but whilst that would get the whole of Stirling Castle in I suspect that it might be a little too head on and that's before the difficulty of finding a suitable parking spot other than that at Bannockburn. The next tour is in August so it might be worth a visit ( via Google Earth ? ) beforehand.

 

We are actualy sat in the car and heard it coming, so we were lucky to get something.
