Skoda to deliver six trains to DB

    Skoda Transportation and Deutsche Bahn (DB) have agreed a contract for six new trains worth 110 million euro.

    The trains will operate in Bavaria on the Nuremberg-Ingolstadt line from December 2016.

    Skoda will supply DB Regio with six double-deck train sets, capable of speeds up to 189 km/h.

    “The conclusion of this agreement confirms the high quality and competitiveness of our vehicles,” said Thomas Kršek, chairman of the board of Skoda Transportation.

    “In Germany we deliver high-tech equipped modern train. With reference to giant Deutsche Bahn, we opened the door to the world.”
