On 10th October South African railways issued a tender for disposal of its remaining steam locomotives. They have divided them into three lists - List A is locomotives definately to be retained for historic reasons, List B is of locomotives which are also worthy of preservation or for use as a source of spares. List C is of locomotives that are likely to go for scrap. It is notable that several narrow gauge [2' gauge NGG15 and 16 obviously] are included with a comment that these may be of interst to overseas buyers. More information is available on the HRASA site and on the Locomotives International website.
