    What colour should the metalwork be painted on a concrete frame Southern/BR(S) loading gauge, particularly the metal arc? The paint has completely disappeared, and our example requires painting ready for installation.

    B&W photos in books make the arc look dark, possibly black. Any examples that were painted white?
