The GWR Steam Railmotor is to make an extended visit the Barry Tourist Railway. Arriving before the end of August the Railmotor will first be used by the railway for the Barry at War weekend on Sat / Sun 31st August / 1st September. The Railmotor will operate 5 return journeys on the Barry Tourist Railway lines and passengers will include youngsters dressed up in 1940's clothes as 'evacuees'.
The Railmotor is effectively the first ever 'railcar' type train and will make an interesting comparison with our Metro-Cammell unit IRIS II.
    Come and see for yourself!
