    The Steamlined Duchess , 6229 Duchess of Hamilton left York by Rail today being towed by Deltic 55002
    for a visit to the Locomotion (NRM Shildon) along with its matching support coach .

    Amazing indeed. Does anybody know if it arrived OK?..............those Deltics can get a bit carried away on the racing stretch north of York, it's their old stamping ground. :wof:

    Nice shots. A rake of Staniers would be nice but from those shots I'd say the MkII actually jars less than the MkI

    I'd love to see one of those streamlined Stanniers in steam, I never saw one in their heyday.
