SVR 1960s event 8 and 9 May 2010

    The Severn Valley Railway are holding a 1960's Event on May 8 & 9. The event will also feature steam haulage as well as displays of classic cars, motorbikes and scooters plus live music. See SVR site news article http://www.svr.co.uk:8080/svr/WebObjects/SVR.woa/wa/specialEvents.

    Also not to be missed as part of the SVR music week are live music events under the canopy at Kidderminster on each night.

    The 82045 Steam Locomotive Trust are hosting an evening at Kidderminster on Friday 7th May. Local Indie/ Pop group "The Amateurs" (website of same name) will be entertaining. The Trust will benefit from ticket sales so please come along and lend your support to this new locomotive. Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm start.

    The Saturday night features a Beatles tribute band and 60s disco, whilst the Sunday night hosts a Kinks tribute band.

    A special timetable has been created by the regular timetable guru. There will be up to 3 diesels and 4 steam engines in use over the weekend with an interesting mix of long and short workings. The times of first and last trains during this event are:

    The DMUs, 20059, D821 and D1062 working trains on both days (some of those are steam and diesel double heading).
